Continuità e trasformazione della campagna. Un punto di vista critico sull’urbanizzazione come paradigma dominante

Abstract


La preponderanza delle economie urbane, fino alle estremizzazioni della finanziarizzazione dello spazio delle città, limitano fortemente la capcità di leggere e interpretare la complessità e l’eterogeneità degli spazi che abitiamo. L’articolo propone un rapido excursus dei recenti contributi allo studio dei processi di riorganizzazione della dimensione rurale che hanno proposto, in regioni diverse, paradigmi interpretativi coerenti delle trasformazioni agricole, con inedite possibilità di stabilire relazioni fra processi lontani dagli sguardi privilegiati dagli studi urbani convenzionali. Vengono quindi messi a confronto due testi ormai storici, la Storia del paesaggio agrario italiano, pubblicata da Emilio Sereni nel 1961, e il capitolo dedicato all’aggiornamento di un precedente lavoro sul villaggio di Kaixiangong, pubblicato da Fei Xiaotong nel 1957 nel volume Rural development in China. Prospect and retrospect, con una riflessione finale sulle rispettive metodologie di ricerca.
